Christmas party!

Our activity for Wednesday night should be fun and simple. We're meeting at the church at 7 for games, food and some future activity planning. Come wearing a crazy Christmas sweater - if you have one - and bring lots of fun ideas for activities you'd like to do next year. Should be a party!

Dani Jo will not be attending so if you can get a ride from your parents that would help!

Beautiful Girls!

Tonight was so much fun. I hope the girls had as much fun as I did. I am honestly so impressed at how creative they all are. Tonight each of the girls was given a men's large white t-shirt and had to re-invent the shirt into something fashion forward and fun. The girls did awesome! After the shirts were done they each got to pick a pair of my high heeled shoes and learn to walk in them. They also were able to put make up on each other. It's so fun to watch them interact. They each had a turn strutting their stuff across the stage in their new - most fabulous shirts! I was so excited to see the girls show off their fine work!

A special thanks to Dani Jo and Jessi for the fantastic snacks (one small piece of cheese, carrot and celery sticks, pretzles and water) Dani Jo - you're the best! Also, Suzanne - thanks so much for letting us use your shoes to decorate the runway - couldn't have had better decor! They helped make the show for sure!

I am so flattered these amazing girls let me spend time with them. I feel truly blessed to be part of their lives!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELSEY AND COURTNEY!!

Today is Kelsey and Courtney's birthday! I can't believe they're already 13!! I guess time flies when you're having fun. The girls are SO much fun, super creative and always smiling. I can always count on them to say something nice or to include everyone in any situation. You girls are truly girls to look up to. Thanks for sharing your sweet spirits with the Beehives!

Fashion Show

This Wednesday night is going to be our first Beehive Fashion Show! Be prepared to be creative and have lots of fun. If you have any of the follwoing please bring it with you to use and share:

Anything else crafty you can think of you can also bring.

Please come with your hair done up crazy - or as we say "Avonguard" and bring any make up you'd like.

Black light Volleyball

Tonight instead of our SLC trip we're going to meet at the church at 7 to play black light volleyball. It should be lots of fun and a great way to keep warm on a cold day :)

Tuesday, October 28 at 6 pm - Trunk or treat at the church - don't be late or you'll miss out!

Wednesday, October 29 at 6:30pm meet at the church in costume for the stake service activity.

Friday, Halloween! Have a great time but please be safe :)

Next Sunday is going to be a special lesson for all the Beehives and Miamaids so all the leaders can go to relief society.

YM/YW Activity tonight!

So, as far as I've heard about the activity tonight we're meeting at the church at 7 and the boys are in charge. Wear warm coats because there may be a walk to the park!

BIG BOOTIE

Thank you to everyone who helped make last night SO much fun. The Manning's were so amazing to let us spend some time at their place. The smores were good but the entertainment was better! Thanks Dani Jo for teaching us such a silly game - I will never forget watching the girls play big bootie!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRITTNEY

I can't belive we had the date down wrong! I feel like such a shmuck! We had Brittney's birthday down as September 18th and it was actually the 10th! We are SO SO excited to have her in our Beehive class! She's added so much to us. She's so kind hearted and a hard worker, not to mention beautiful! I was so impressed at how well she just jumped in the group and fit right in. What an amazing girl! Welcome to YW Brittney!

Did someone say Kick Ball??

For our activity this week we're meeting at Still Water park for some KICK BALL!!! Please meet at the park at 7 with long pants and possibly a long sleeved shirt (to avoid the bugs this time!) and please wear good shoes.

If you'd like, not required, bring a treat of your choice to share. We learned that many of you have cooking and baking skills and we'd like you to show them off if!

If the weather is bad - meet at Dani Jo's for some other fun activities!

What a wash!

The car wash activity was so much fun last week! Well, minus the bug bites :) We were worried a bit by the huge storm that hit us about 5:00, we thought we might have to cancel. Miracles do happen one did that night, it cleared up just in time for our activity!!! The YW and YM did such a great job! I lost count at how many cars they washed. Thanks for doing mine too, it really needed it. As you can see by the pictures, we had fun learning more about service and didn't mind getting a little wet :)

It's the CAR WASH

Just a reminder about our activity tonight...

It's our standards night and our amazing YW president decided to do something fun! We're going to do a free car wash for anyone in the ward who's interested. On Sunday you were given invitations to hand out to neighbors. Please hand them out so there are plenty of cars for us to wash. (Mine will be one of them!) Be at the church at 6:30 with buckets, sponges and towels. If you need a ride please call me or Sister Bray.

It should be a wet and wild night! Can't wait to see you all there!

It's great to be Unique

Tonight was SO SO much fun. It was great to see how different we all are from each other and yet how similar! I was impressed with how talented the girls are and how many of them are artistic and creative! We had an activity where each girl brought 3 things that told about themselves. We had everything from dragons to dutch shoes - stuffed animals to paint brushes and pencils - chopsticks to bling even Hannah Montana. It was awesome! I felt like I was lucky enough to get to know the girls a little better. I'm SO looking forward to upcoming activities where I can get to know the girls even more!
I'm actually kicking myself that I forgot my camera tonight. The girls decorated sugar cookies to express their "uniqueness". They were SO cute! Just picture in your head 12 cute cookies with many variations of sprinkles and m&m's.

This week we're going to have a "It's great to be unique" night. If all you girls could bring a brown sandwich bag with 3 things that describe you or tell a little bit about you, that would be great! We're going to all get to know each other a bit better!

Today Sarah is turning 14 which means she's leaving the hive and moving on to the Mia Maids. We're SO sad to see her go but we're excited for the Mia Maids.

Hula Activity

Last night we had such a great time learing the HULA! The girls did a great job and even the leaders knocked it out of the park! Go ladies. It was so fun to get a good work out while having fun. The girls looked so cute too with all their Hawaiian gear.
Thanks to Sister Summers and her cute sister for having such talented hips! They were amazing and so fun to watch. They were so wonderful to take the time to teach us a little culture.
Thanks girls for being so willing to learn new things and for being so smiley and wonderful!

Our first post!

Last night we had our first board meeting as Beehives. It was AWESOME! The three girls they have us working with are amazing! I think they'll work great together as well. We decided it might be fun to create a blog so we can all post pictures, ideas and memories here so we can all enjoy them. Great idea huh?
So girls - Keep the posts coming and add lots of pictures!
